As an international celebrity, Jackie Chan has been making use of his own fame for the benefit of the public. He has participated in many kinds of charitable activities and has been the key spokesperson at numerous charitable events. What’s more, he has produced short films to promote charity and actively took part in humanitarian programs. His actions have been recognized worldwide.

Promoting Quitting Smoking提倡戒煙
Once appointed an international anti-smoking ambassador, Jackie Chan has been in the lead to promote a healthy life style and his efforts have been admired by many. Since he himself used to be a chain smoker, he shared with everyone his own experience in quitting smoking: “there is no secret to stop smoking, except your own determination, persistence and faith.” Not only quitting smoking himself, Jackie also encouraged his friends to do so. As a result, all sixteen members of the Jackie Chan Stuntmen Club have successfully quit smoking.

Promoting Environmental Protection 推動(dòng)環(huán)保
Jackie Chan has always been concerned about the environment. Whenever shooting a scene outside, he would never forget to clean up the garbage and tidy up the site. Recently, he planned to introduce innovative solar energy garbage cans and will contribute them to the Hong Kong government to assist in environmental protection.
成龍一向注重環(huán)保，拍外景時(shí)總不忘清理垃圾、整理場(chǎng)地，最近更打算引入先進(jìn)的太陽(yáng)能垃圾桶，捐贈(zèng)香港*，以推動(dòng)環(huán)保工作。
Fighting Bird Flu 力抗禽流感
In Asia when the threat of bird flu broke out, Jackie went to such countries as Thailand, Korea and Japan where the bird flu was spreading, to support their governments and people to fight the disease. Before his trip, a journalist asked him if he was afraid of getting the disease, Jackie replied, “Even if there is bird flu, I will still go!” To avoid further spreading of the disease, Jackie accepted the offer from the UN Children’s Foundation and made a commercial with children from six different countries to educate the public on how to prevent bird flu.
亞洲禽流感威脅蠢蠢欲動(dòng)，成龍?jiān)几疤﹪?guó)、韓國(guó)、日本等感染了禽流感的*，支持各國(guó)*和民眾抵抗病毒。之前，有記者問他是否害怕感染病毒，成龍說：「就算有禽流感，我也一定會(huì)去！」為了進(jìn)一步避免疫情爆發(fā)，成龍應(yīng)聯(lián)合國(guó)兒童基金會(huì)之邀，與六個(gè)*的小朋友拍攝公益廣告，宣傳防治禽流感的正確觀念。
Devoting to Charitable Activities 投身公益
For many years, Jackie has been actively participating in all kinds of charitable works and contributed money and effort, which set a good example for people in the entertainment industry. A long time ago, Jackie was awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star in recognition of his significant contribution to the charitable work in Hong Kong. Lately, he devoted all his time apart from making movies to charitable activities. Last year, thirteen elementary schools funded by him started construction in a few poor mountainous areas in Qui Zhou, Mainland China. At the same time, he has applied for establishing the “Jackie Chan Foundation” in Mainland China. He said, “I hope that these activities can awaken people’s compassion to lend more help to those in need.” He also frequently makes contributions in person when serious natural disaster strikes. For example, when a broadcaster in Mainland China announced a severe cold warning, he immediately delivered five hundred down vests to the elderly.
多年來，成龍積極投身公益事業(yè)、出錢出力的行為，已成為娛樂圈的榜樣。很早以前，他就為香港的慈善工作做出過重大貢獻(xiàn)，并為此獲得銀紫荊勛章。近幾年，他除了拍戲，就是進(jìn)行慈善方面的工作，他在大陸貴州幾個(gè)貧困山區(qū)投資的13所*在去年已開始興建，同時(shí)也開始申請(qǐng)成立*大陸地區(qū)的「成龍基金」。他表示：「我希望可以透過這些行動(dòng)喚起大家的愛心，幫助更多需要幫助的人?！顾３Ｔ谝恍┲卮蟮奶鞛?zāi)發(fā)生時(shí)出面募捐，當(dāng)大陸天文臺(tái)一發(fā)出寒冷警告，他也曾立刻帶著五百件羽絨坎肩送給老人們。
Giving Half of his Possessions to the Public 捐出一半身家財(cái)產(chǎn)做公益
Jackie Chan was recognized as one of the 10 Most Charitable Celebrities by Forbes Magazine in 2006. He further revealed that he will emulate the billionaires in the US, such as Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, and will give half of his possessions to “Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation”. This foundation was established in 1988 and was intended to help young people in Hong Kong who were in need. Later it expanded its activities to support disaster relief, medical care and art performance.
成龍?jiān)?006年初被美國(guó)《福布斯》雜志評(píng)為「世界樂善好施明星」。除此，成龍更進(jìn)一步透露，他將向熱心公益的美國(guó)大富豪比爾.蓋茲和華倫.巴菲特看齊，他的一半財(cái)富將保留給「成龍慈善基金」。該基金是在1988年成立，一開始是用來幫助有需要的香港年輕人，后來逐步擴(kuò)展到贊助救災(zāi)、醫(yī)療和表演藝術(shù)等用途。
