一、issue常規(guī)含義，但別用錯地方

issue大家都知道的意思就是“問題”了，通常用來表示“比較重大，正式的問題”，

說到“臺灣問題”的英語，我之前一直以為是Taiwan issue，因為感覺issue更加正式一點。而且伊朗核問題的英語表達就是Iranian nuclear issue，但是再去翻找材料的時候，“臺灣問題”的英語竟然是Taiwan question，很接地氣的question而不是issue!而且后面還清楚的表示：not and never Taiwan issue!所以，在灣灣的問題上，不能用issue這個詞，得用question哪!

二、issue其它不常被使用的含義

1.issue有雜志期，號，版次的意思

(1)There's an article on video camera in the latest issue.

在最近一期雜志上有篇關于攝像機的文章。

(2)An old issue of "Vogue" lay on the table.

桌子上放著一本過期的《Vogue》雜志。

2.issue還有發(fā)行;發(fā)布;頒發(fā)

(1)The office will be issuing permits on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

辦事處將在周二和周四的上午頒發(fā)許可證。

(2)The police issued a statement about its plans to the press.

警方就其計劃向媒體發(fā)表一項聲明。

三、issue的這些搭配你可能不知道

issue屬于重要詞匯，所以不僅是其含義，與issue相關的搭配*還是都了解一下，這些搭配你可能不常見到。

1.at issue最重要的，關鍵的

The point at issue is his attitude about this matter.

問題的關鍵在于他對這件事的態(tài)度。

2.make an issue of sth對…小題大作;為…爭論

No need to make an issue of it.It's not a big deal

沒必要把這一點小題大作,這不是什么大事。

3.take issue with sth對…持強烈異議，很不贊同

I took issue with his plan about website promoting.

我不贊同他的網(wǎng)站營銷計劃。
