　　詞根 thes 和 thet 的含義相當于 place, put[放]. thesis[論文，論點]指“(ideas) placed, put”, 即“表達的觀點、思想”。其中來自希臘語的后綴-is（更嚴謹?shù)卣f是-sis）構成抽象名詞。
